The 2016 Hari Shankar Memorial Lecture "It's an Ethnic Thing: Cultural Challenges to Broadening Participation in Mathematics" by Dr. Philip Kutzko, Professor of Mathematics and CLAS Collegiate Fellow at the University of Iowa. He will present a rethinking of how mathematics is taught and done at universities today. This talk is intended for general audiences, on topics of current interest in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. The lecture is free of charge.
