The exhibition is a formal presentation of recent accomplishments by the faculty in the UNI Department of Art. It is an opportunity for students and the public at large to experience current themes in contemporary art and also to meet artists who not only teach but also maintain vibrant professional careers in studio art, graphic design, art history, and art education. The opening reception begins at 6 p.m., Mon., Oct. 9, in the KAB South lobby.

Refill not Landfill is a campaign to promote healthier living through sustainable water habits during the month of November. Free water bottles will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Schindler Education Center, noon to 2 p.m. at the Wellness/Recreation Center and 9 a.m. to noon at Maucker Union, Rod Library and Curris Business Building Tuesday, Oct. 31. Did you know there are more than 65 refill stations located around the UNI campus to make it easy to get your 64 ounces of recommended water every day? Find us on Facebook at Recycling and Reuse Technology Transfer Center to get daily tips and facts about healthy living through sustainable waters habits.

Transgender Remembrance Candlelight Vigil

Transgender Remembrance Candlelight Vigil

Tuesday, November 14, 2017 - 8:00 pm

Join us for a vigil in honor of the individuals lost this year to anti-transgender violence. We will be reading the names and stories of those killed this year in the U.S., listening to perspectives about violence against the transgender community and participating in a moment of silence. In case of inclement weather, the location will be the LGBT* Center.
