A UNI Permanent Art Collection Exhibition co-curated by Dr. Elizabeth Sutton and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor. This presentation seeks to make visible some of the objects in the UNI Permanent Art Collection made by women artists and elevate contributions of women as makers. Note, the Gallery will be closed Mon., Jan. 15 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Free and open to the public.

An exhibition by Mary Griep, retired Associate Dean of Fine Arts at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN representing nearly two decades of work inspired by 11th and 12th century sacred architecture from around the world. Among the large-scale artworks on display are Notre Dame Cathedral of Chartres (France), the Hindu temple of Angkor Wat (Cambodia), the Mayan temple El Castillo (Mexico), and the artist’s newest work, the Baptistery of Saint John, in Florence (Italy). On Wed., Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m., Griep will present a lecture about her work in Kamerick Art Building, room 111. An opening reception will follow.

The Beta Nu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and the UNI School of Music invite you and your band to the 63rd Annual Tallcorn Jazz Festival and 67th Sinfonian Dimensions in Jazz Concerts to be held on February 16 and 17, 2018, on the UNI campus. In celebration of Valentine's Day, see one of the greatest love stories, "Sunrise." The film, which won several Oscars at the first Academy Awards ceremony in 1929, is widely regarded as not only one of the crowning achievements of silent cinema, but also one of the greatest films ever made. Admission is free and all are welcome.
