Good Neighbor Iowa Kickoff Event

Good Neighbor Iowa is a statewide public education campaign to reduce children’s exposure to lawn pesticides and protect water quality. Speakers include a park director, a family physician, Dubuque city staff and a childcare center director. They will share their insights on pesticide use and the harmful effects of pesticide exposure on children. Attendees will learn the value of diverse, pesticide-free lawns, sign a pesticide-free pledge, grow their own sample of pesticide-free grass, as well as other activities and will receive free a choice of “Good Neighbor” yard signs, frisbees and cups.
