Govenor's STEM Future Ready Roundtable

Monday, October 12, 2015 - 10:30 am to 11:30 am

Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will hold a public Future Ready Iowa roundtable to launch a statewide conversation about how to close the workforce skills gap. Strengthening Iowa’s talent pipeline will help assure students and workers have the career opportunities they deserve, and that business and industry have the skilled employees they need to compete in a knowledge-based economy.

Roundtable participants for the discussion, which will be led by a moderator, include the governor and lt. governor, business, labor, nonprofit and education leaders, and high school and college students. Audience questions and comments will take up the last 10 to 15 minutes of the hour.
