"Illuminating Manuscripts"

Featuring 13^th through 17^th century illuminated manuscripts as well as objects from Rod Library’s Special Collections, this exhibition was co-curated by Dr. Charles M. Adelman and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor with didactics by UNI students of art history. On Sept. 15 at 6:00 p.m., musicologist Dr. Alison Alstatt will present a lecture titled “Strangers in a Strange Land: Spanish Chant Manuscript Leaves in the UNI Permanent Art Collection.” In addition, medieval chants from the manuscript leaves will be performed by Cantorei, directed by Dr. John Wiles.
