Take a guided tour of UNI's National Science Foundation Materials Testing Lab to learn how robots assist designers in selecting the best fabrics for their designs. These robots wash, sun bleach, rip and rub fabric to test its limits. Watch a short film about sewing robots and chat with faculty and UNI STEM ambassadors about technology in the fashion industry. The tour is approximately 15 minutes; the movie is about five minutes. The first 50 K-12 students will receive a free UNI STEM string backpack.
