The Graduate Student Symposium provides a showcase for graduate students to present their research and creative works. Poster presentations, oral presentations and creative performances are featured.

Rod Library will host the 5th Annual Mini Comic Con. There will be games, prizes, vendors, artists and costume contests. Family friendly and free.  

Thursday, April 19, 2018 - 7:30 pm

Conductors Danny Galyen and Rebecca Burkhardt and opera director Mitra Sadeghpour will collaborate to prepare the Wind Ensemble, Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra and UNI Opera for a thrilling performance with and for visiting artist Michael Daugherty. The performance will include works by Daugherty and will be the grand finale of the 2017-18 Spotlight Series. This event is ticketed. Saturday, April 28, 2018 - 7:30 pm

School of Music faculty artist Bob Washut will appear with UNI jazz faculty artists, alumni and guests, to present his final concert at UNI before retirement. The concert will also serve as official CD release for his newest album, and a portion of the proceeds from ticket and CD sales at the concert will go to the Thomas Capps Memorial Fund and the Jim Coffin Visiting Jazz Artist Fund at UNI.
