The Culture & Intensive English Program (CIEP) invites staff and faculty to attend a workshop designed to explore intercultural communication and tools on how to work and support Middle Eastern students on campus.
The event is free for all participants; however space is limited and pre-registration is required. Register at http://www.uni.edu/ciep/workshops.
Light refreshments will be provided by the International Students & Scholars Office and the Office of International Programs.
Angie Kapely, a Fulbright Visiting Lecturer at University of Bahrain, will present the workshop. Kapely specializes in conducting workshops for university administrators, TESOL educators and Middle Eastern students. She has also presented similar workshops at the national NAFSA Conference, and the U.S. Embassy Bahrain, SACM graduation ceremony.
