Co-hosted by the UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center and ISU-STRIPS, this field day will focus on integrating prairie into row crop fields for reduction in sediment and nutrient runoff. The event is free of charge and open to the public with a meal provided. There will be an opportunity to view prairie strips up close and take a field walk following the program. Pre-registration is not required, but appreciated for meal planning purposes and to communicate any logistics that may change due to inclement weather. The event is free and open to the public and highlights guest speakers, artists, vendors, trivia competitions, youth and adult costume contests, prizes, giveaways, video gaming, live-action role-playing, youth crafts, a photo booth, kids craft area and more.
