Join STLF for our Coldstone Giveback night. Learn more about STLF and our Spring Break Pay it Forward Tour. All proceeds will help fund the trip (fuel, food, etc.).

This event will aim to focus on the variety of oppression of African-Americans from slavery to discrimination. Each classroom will display scenes of oppression, as well as a real-life r-enactment putting the student in the scene to give them a true experience. The Tunnel of Oppression rooms will include a microaggressions, colorism, check your privilege, black lives matter vs. all lives matter, hair room, slave room, layers of the black and LGBTQ community, and a counseling room for debrief sessions.

Poetry became prominent in the black culture during the Harlem renaissance. Poetry was and is used as a form of art for protest, advocacy, testimony, awareness, and emotional expression. This event gives students a space to feel brave and safe while being honest and vulnerable with their community. Registration is required; contact the Black Student Union.

See the critically acclaimed romantic drama "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" on the big screen. There will be an optional discussion following the screening. Admission is free and all are welcome.

 Jazzercise with Colleges Against Cancer to help support and raise awareness about cancer.

Students can vote for the next student body president, vice president and senators. Polls open at 7 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, and close at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28. The polls are available via the MyUniverse portal.

It is important to educate people about the habits and behaviors that are a part domestic violence. We will be collaborating with Amani Community Services, a culturally specific domestic violence and sexual assault agency serving African-Americans in Black Hawk and Linn counties.

Jason Sole is an assistant professor at Metropolitan State University. He is a national keynote speaker and has Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in criminal justice. He will peak about his experience as an African-American black male, as well as highlight obstacles and barriers faced through poverty and incarceration while also sharing how education changed his life and where he is today.

CAB Film will be showing the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in Maucker Union Ballrooms A&B. Snacks will be provided during both showings and there will be a prize giveaway.

UNI Dance Marathon will host the 7th annual "Big Event." Registration for the event is required and includes admission, a shirt, meals, dancing and other entertainment throughout the day.

This reception will feature speakers who will remind us where African-Americans came from, be grateful for it, but to also continue to move forward and be leaders. We also will recognize all who helped make the month a success.

Taste of Africa will provide awareness and understanding of the many African cultures through the food of those cultures. Dishes from countries such as Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, South Sudan, Ghana, Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and more will be served. The cost is $3 for all you can eat.

Support the Ronald McDonald House Charities by attending Alpha Delta Pi's Pasta with the Pis, an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner with garlic bread and desserts. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.

Panther eSports will host the 2nd annual Panther Gaming Convention with video games, board games, card games and more. There will be an option to participate in a Super Smash Bro's tournament. Concessions will be available.

In many African cultures, beads have played a very important role in the lives of many Africans by creating string of beads that promote your identity and personality, as well as status. Participants will learn about how different cultures in Africa use beads in their everyday life.

God longs for us to cast all our cares on Him. We'll dive into the topics of depression and anxiety this month, followed by food and community time.

LGBTQ individuals will share their stories through monologues and poetry. Admission is free and all are welcome.

End Pride Week with a bang! Progressive Prom is your chance to have an inclusive, awesome prom right here at UNI. There will be refreshments, music and a photo booth.
